ArthaWire Desk
Stories on this site carry the byline ArthaWire Desk. This page explains exactly what that means.
Who writes
The first draft of each story is written by AI software (Anthropic's Claude) working from the source documents for that story: the company's results or press release, the stock-exchange or regulator filing, and reports from established news organisations. The software is instructed to use only facts in those documents, to write in its own words and to give no investment advice.
Who reviews
Every story is reviewed by Sahadev Halder, the site's founder and editor, before it is published. Sahadev Halder is not a SEBI-registered adviser or analyst and does not claim professional qualifications in finance; the review is a check of accuracy against the sources, not investment research. Each article shows "Reviewed by" with the reviewer's name.
What the review checks
- The headline matches the source and does not exaggerate.
- Every number, unit (crore, million, billion) and period (quarter, financial year) matches the company filing or source, and standalone and consolidated figures, revenue and profit, and EBITDA and net profit are labelled and not mixed up.
- The date of the event is clear, and old news is not presented as new.
- Every source link opens and supports what the story says. Where a company or exchange filing exists, it is linked and marked "Primary".
Automatic checks
Before a draft even reaches review, software checks it: figures in the headline, summary and image that do not appear in the source material, strong words such as "record" or "crash" that the source does not use, copied passages, missing source links and duplicate stories all stop the draft.
