Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information ArthaWire ("we") collects when you visit arthawire.com. The site is published by Sahadev Halder, who is responsible for it. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
You can read the site without an account, and we do not ask for your name or email. We collect only:
- Page-view counts. When a page has been open for a few seconds, your browser tells our server which page you viewed. To count unique readers, the server combines your IP address and browser type with a secret and the date and stores only a short scrambled code (a hash) that changes every day. We do not set a cookie for this. Counts are kept in a database at our host, Cloudflare.
- Visit log. For each page view we also keep a short log entry so we can spot spam and automated traffic: the time, the page, a shortened IP address with the last part removed (for example 49.36.12.x, which points to a network area, not a single device), and the approximate city, country and internet provider that Cloudflare derives from it. Only the site owner can see it. Entries are deleted after 30 days.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under its own privacy policy.
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep the message to reply and, for corrections, as a record.
Third parties
- Google Fonts. Our fonts load from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address when you open a page.
- Links. Articles link to source documents and other websites, which have their own privacy policies.
- Advertising. We do not show ads yet. We plan to use Google AdSense; before ads go live we will update this policy to explain the cookies Google uses and, for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, show a consent message.
Cookies
We do not set cookies for readers. (The site's private admin area uses one login cookie, only for the site owner.)
Your choices
You can block cookies and scripts in your browser; the articles still work. To ask about the data described here, email [email protected].
