Why sales grew faster than profit

The company did not give a specific reason for the gap. Chief executive Rakshit Hargave said growth was broad-based across channels and key states, with bakery, adjacent products and the international business accelerating alongside biscuits.

He also said brand investments continued, including festive campaigns such as a Bourbon tie-up for Ganesh Chaturthi and a 50-50 Cheeze Dipped campaign for Onam. In his words, the company remains watchful of inflationary pressures.

Quarter-on-quarter view

Compared with the June 2026 quarter, the company reported 12% growth in top line and 22% growth in profit, a sign that the latest quarter was stronger than the one before it.

What to watch next

In our view, the key points to track are whether volume growth stays in double digits and whether input-cost inflation, which management flagged, affects margins. For other FMCG numbers, see our results news.
