What drove growth
The company said its domestic petrol (ICE) business dispatched 6,75,017 units, up 14%, led by scooters and 100cc motorcycles. It launched two premium motorcycles in the month, the Xtreme 160R 4V and the Xtreme 250R.
Its electric brand VIDA dispatched 30,143 units. Hero says VIDA’s share of the electric two-wheeler market rose to 13.6% from 11.1% a year earlier.
Dispatches vs retail sales
Dispatches are wholesale numbers. Retail sales are better tracked through VAHAN, the government’s vehicle registration database. Hero said VAHAN registrations for its vehicles were 5,89,665 in October, excluding Telangana. That is lower than dispatches, which is common in festive months when dealers build stock.
Year to date
From April to October (FY27 so far), dispatches reached 42,79,878 units against 36,93,580 a year earlier, about 16% higher.
