Tata Motors October 2026 sales rose 23% to 75,426 units, the company said in a press release filed with NSE and BSE on 1 November 2026. That compares with 61,295 units in October 2025. The company, called Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles since it was renamed from Tata Motors Limited on 13 October 2025, reported domestic passenger vehicle sales of 73,894 units.

Tata Motors October 2026 sales: key numbers

Measure (units)Oct 2026Oct 2025Change
Passenger vehicles, domestic73,89461,134+21%
Passenger vehicles, international business1,532161+852%
Passenger vehicles, total (including EVs)75,42661,295+23%
Electric vehicles, domestic and international16,2449,286+75%

The total includes sales by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of the company.

Domestic sales made up most of the total, with 73,894 of the 75,426 units, or about 98%. In the release, “PV” means passenger vehicles and “IB” means international business. The electric vehicle line is included in the passenger vehicle total, so it is not an extra figure to add on top.

Electric vehicles and international sales

Electric vehicle sales across domestic and international business rose 75% to 16,244 units. EVs made up about 22% of total units sold in October. International business sales of passenger vehicles rose to 1,532 units from 161 a year earlier, a much smaller base, so the percentage jump looks large.

What the release does not say

The release gives unit sales only. It does not explain the reasons for the growth, the mix of models sold, or production and dispatch figures. Those details would come from the company’s own commentary or its quarterly results.

What to watch next

  • Whether the 23% growth holds in the November sales release.
  • How fast electric vehicle sales keep pace with the total, since EVs rose much faster than overall sales.
