Hyundai October 2026 sales rise 17.7% to 82,299 units, its highest-ever month
Hyundai October sales hit 82,299 units in 2026, up 17.7% and the company's highest-ever month, with domestic sales of 62,799 units, per its NSE filing.
Hyundai October sales reached 82,299 units in October 2026, up 17.7% from a year earlier. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) said in a press release filed with NSE on 1 November 2026 that this is its highest-ever monthly total since the company started. The figure counts cars sold in India and cars shipped abroad.
Hyundai October sales: key numbers
| Measure (units) | Oct 2026 | Change YoY |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic sales | 62,799 | +16.7% |
| Exports | 19,500 | +21.1% |
| Total (domestic + exports) | 82,299 | +17.7% |
| Hyundai Venue, domestic | 13,017 | not given |
The company says both the domestic figure and the Venue figure are its highest-ever for a single month. The release gives growth rates but not the October 2025 unit numbers, so this table shows only the percentage change.
Why sales grew, according to the company
Tarun Garg, MD and CEO of HMIL, credited strong festive demand and healthy momentum in both the domestic and export markets. Exports grew faster than domestic sales, at 21.1% against 16.7%. Exports made up about 24% of the month’s total.
Garg also pointed to the newly launched Hyundai Bayon, which the company calls an “Intelligent Utility Vehicle”. He said it should support growth in India and in more than 50 export markets.
What the release does not say
The figures are the company’s own sales numbers for the month. The release does not give retail registrations, model-wise sales beyond the Venue, or any profit figures. Those come with the quarterly results.
