Titan Q2 results: key numbers
The figures below are consolidated and in Rs crore, as stated in the company’s press release. Total income excludes bullion and digi-gold sales.
| Measure (Rs crore) | Q2 FY27 | Q2 FY26 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total income | 20,533 | 16,407 | 25% |
| EBIT (earnings before interest and tax) | 2,865 | 1,799 | 59% |
| Profit before tax | 2,329 | 1,522 | 53% |
| Profit after tax | 1,722 | 1,120 | 54% |
Why Titan’s profit grew faster than income
The company says profit before tax includes custom duty gains of Rs 536 crore in the quarter. After adjusting for the impact of the gold custom duty increase, profit before tax was about Rs 1,793 crore at an 8.7% margin, up 18%. So most of the faster profit growth came from this item, not from operations alone.
Jewellery grew 24% to Rs 17,495 crore, with studded jewellery growing in the early thirties, the company said. Watches grew 27% to Rs 1,881 crore and EyeCare grew 28% to Rs 281 crore. Titan said the festive calendar shifted into Q3 FY27, yet demand held up for most of the period, according to managing director Ajoy Chawla.
Two profit figures

Other board decisions
The board also approved raising up to Rs 2,500 crore through unsecured non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis. Noel N. Tata will retire as vice chairman and director from November 12, 2026, under Tata Group governance guidelines. Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP was recommended as statutory auditor, subject to shareholder approval.
What to watch next
In our view, the next quarter is the one to follow, because the festive season now falls in Q3 FY27 and the custom duty gain may not repeat. Read more in our results news.
