NLC India dividend record date is 12 November 2026. The Navratna public sector company’s board declared an interim dividend of 15%, or Rs 1.50 per equity share of Rs 10 face value, for FY 2026-27 at its meeting on 4 November 2026, according to its exchange filing. The filing says it will be paid in one or more tranches within statutory timelines.
NLC India dividend: record date and what it means
The record date is the cut-off on which a shareholder must be on the books to receive the dividend. NSE corporate action data lists the ex-dividend date as 12 November 2026 as well, so shares must be bought before that day to be eligible.
What else the NLC India board approved
The same meeting approved several other decisions:
- Bonds: raising up to Rs 2,500 crore through bonds in the nature of debentures, by private placement in phases, to be listed on BSE and NSE. Coupon and tenure will be set at each tranche.
- New capacity: an additional 660 MW unit as an expansion of NUPPL within the existing 1,886-acre Ghatampur Thermal Power Station site, which has three 660 MW units.
- Renewables IPO: an offer for sale of up to 10 crore equity shares of Rs 10 each held in its wholly owned subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), as part of NIRL’s proposed IPO. The board gave in-principle approval for the listing on 12 January 2026.
Q2 results context
The board also approved September 2026 quarter results. Standalone revenue from operations was Rs 2,690.9 crore against Rs 2,564.9 crore a year earlier, up about 5%, and total income was Rs 2,792.4 crore against Rs 2,804.5 crore. The filing also reports a net profit margin of 42.56% for the quarter versus 17.60% a year earlier, a gap we have not been able to reconcile from the statement and which should be read with the full filing.
